Mousespot walked into the clearing from the warrior's den, it was a quiet day, the first light of dawn shimmering in the sky. Mousespot walked to the fresh kill pile and selected a small vole to munch on.He quickly gobbled it down in a few bites. Today him and his new apprentice, Ripplepaw, would be going hunting to test Ripplepaw's hunting skills, then they would be going to work on some battle training. The soft grass felt soft under his feet as he laid down on the soft, smooth grass as he closed his eyes and laid down his tail, but keeping his ears alert for the sound of his coming apprentice.

Ripplepaw spotted his mentor gnawing on a vole and could tell by the expression on his face that he wanted to be out of camp training. So he padded over to him and grudgingly mewed "We are training today." It wasn't a question but an observation and one that Ripplepaw wasn't to thrilled about. He would rather be plotting by himself and not wasting time with his mentor doing pointless stuff like hunting for the clan. Ripplepaw thought that all cats should fend for them selfs and get there own prey. If they were unable too then they should die. Ripplepaws mind was an evil place and he was only concerned about himself. Though there was still the other side of him that cared the good half was weak and was trampled by the half that was now the ruler of the body. Without waiting for his mentor to say anything back or finish eating he walked out of camp hoping to get a little bit of time to order his thoughts.

Mousespot bit the last of his vole as he slowly stood and trotted after his apprentice. Upon moving up to Ripplepaw's side he looked at him. "Yes, that would be correct, or would you rather go hunting first?" Mousespot asked, with a smile on his face.

Ripplepaw snorted irritated at his mentors stupidity. No mentor asked their apprentice what they want to do they were told. "Actually I don't want to do either. But since I may actually need to learn how to fight I should train. And hunting for the rest of the clan in stupid so don't really want to hunt" The grey tabby mewed, voicing his honest oppinion not caring avout how Mousespot would think of him. Almost everone in the clan thought of him as an irritance and a nusence so one more cat who thought that of him didn't really matter to Ripplepaw.
Ripplepaw picked up his pace and shot forward leaving the warrior behind him. When he passed the river he slowed slightly not wanting to take the chance of falling in and leaving this body to the good side. Finally he reached the training grounds where he skidded and turned leaving gouge marks in the ground. Ripplepaw lay down on the cool earth and waited patiantly, plotting out things that would make any other cat frightend.
