Acaciaocean picked her head up from her paws and rolled her shoulders back. It had been at least a half-moon since Wolfsoul left, but his memories still lingered in the back of her mind. The more present matter at hand was her new apprentice, Jaypaw. The faint picture in her mind's eye popped up and reminded her that there was something to work on, something to achieve. Gingerly, stiffly, she picked her way past the still sleeping warriors and into the mostly empty clearing of her clan's camp. Across the way was the apprentice den. She glanced up at the sun, there was no hurry. Maybe Jaypaw would wake on her own, she'd give her a little more time. She sank backwards, blinking sleep from her eyes and stretching, letting her fore-legs almost touch the dusty ground. she padded groggily towards the fresh-kill pile. She let out a rusty purr as she eyed one of the last and very rare plump mice. She eyed it greedily but settled for a glossy raven instead, bring the mouse with her for her apprentice. She pawed a the silky feathers till they came loose and watch the entrance to the apprentice den. Any time now...

Acaciaocean probably hadn't been expecting an attack from behind. The lanky grey apprentice sprung onto her mentor, an attack yowl echoing from her jaws. Jaypaw battered the calico's ears for a moment before ending the assualt and leaping towards the back of her mentor. The tail was her enemy now. With another yowl she attacked her foe, pinning it to the ground with ease. Jaypaw looked up to Acaciaocean, green eyes sparkling happily. "What you think of that attack?" she meowed proudly, still holding down Acaciaocean's tail.

Acaciaocean was on her paws seconds after the assault. "That was..." she paused to let her heart-rate settle. "Very impressive." she beamed proudly at her new apprentice. She flicked her tail up, the tip out of Jaypaw's reach. "Here eat up." she nudged the plump mouse at her. "Unless you've already eaten, and then we can set out." she let a smile spread over her face as easily as water slid over pebbles. Maybe forgetting wouldn't be so hard after all. A dull thud in her chest reminded her that she couldn't stay a frozen memory and she snapped back to attention, a small chuckle fell from her amusedly smiling face.

"I've already eaten. Can we just go? Please?" Jaypaw meowed her large green eyes pleading. All the lanky she-cat wanted to do was get out of the camp. It would be her first actual training session and like all over excited, young apprentices she was terrible impatient. "What's so funny?" Jaypaw asked her mentor her eyes searching Acaciaocean's own. The young cat hated it when other's laughed and she didn't know what it was about. She always assumbed they were laughing at her.

Forgetting some memories are good. she said plainly standing up. Alright your highness, let us get going. she led the way to the pine forest. First the customary tour, and then you can decide what we work on first. she purred, her mind flickered to taking Meadowpaw out of camp. Her eyes were light and cheery, everything gone from her mind except her apprentice at hand. So you tell me all the places you already know and I'll show you them and tell you about them. Alright? she meowedm cocking her head to the side questioningly.
(lol, Meadowpaw has been an apprentice forever, but I don't want her to be made a warrior till Falconpaw is, cause she still likes him... Shouldn't they both be made warriors? They were some of the first apprentice...)

((That they were. He'll be made a warrior after the prophecy finishes. Miracle of miracles...I replied! Woot!))
Jaypaw could hardly contain her excitement. The fact that she would also get to actually decide what to do after the custamary tour only thrilled her more. It was likely the apprentice would be arguing with herself the entire time they were touring the terriory on what she should pick. The tall apprentice lep ahead once again. "That sounds great! Can we go now?" the obvious strain in her voice showed just how excited the apprentice really was.
((gosh I'm rusty...))
